Welcome to the website for the Louisiana Chapter of the Studebaker Drivers Club. SDC is the world’s largest single maker car club - over 13,000 members in countries all over the world. This is a fitting tribute to a marque producing vehicles for over 100 years. From 1852 to 1966, Studebaker produced covered wagons and buggies, electric and gasoline motorcars, military vehicles and a host of other products like STP, Onan generators, Gravely Tractors, McCulloch Industries, Otis Elevators and more. More Bonneville speed records were made (and still held) by Studebakers than any other make. We’re determined to keep them rolling! The Louisiana Chapter's mission is to preserve and promote Studebaker vehicles and products, memorabilia and events. Although our members own a variety of vehicles from various eras, it is not necessary to be a Studebaker owner to be a member. If you enjoy Studebakers, join us! Beginning in 2008, our chapter does not schedule regular meetings. This is due to the distance between members and the difficulty of organizing and conducting regular meetings that are well attended. Many of us are also members of the Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA), so we see one another and exchange information at meets and tours of AACA. We publish a newsletter called Bayou 'bakers. We publish the newsletter when time and material permits - usually twice a year - Spring and Fall. See information under Publications on the left.
